The year is almost over. During this past year, we spent most of it upgrading our three main sites at:
1. Filipina Eyes
2. Filipina Lady (this site)
3. Asian Wife
I would say our update was a success. All three sites are doing better than they were prior to the update.
Filipina Eyes is our oldest and most established site. However, Filipina Lady (this site) has caught up with Filipina Eyes in traffic and popularity. They both are doing really well. If there is one area in Filipina Lady that puzzles me, it is the ratio of women to men. Maybe it is the name of the site, but Filipina Lady seems to get a ratio of 10 ladies to every man. While Filipina Eyes and Asian Wife is more even.
Asian wife is the youngest of all three sites but seems to be doing well. Because Filipina Eyes is more established and has been on the net the longest, most of the new members find our site through search engines (I rarely have to advertise for new members). How new membership comes to a site is part of marketing. I do a variety of both free marketing (search engine) and paid marketing (adwords).
The past few months have been especially rewarding in the couples department. We have had many new loves find each other on our sites. I still need to resolve the lack of a testimonial feature for all three sites. I do NOT have a section on the sites were couples can post a testimonial when they find love. I need it, but may have to wait till after the holidays before I pay to do an update.
Running the sites has its moments, but all in all things are going well. The spam battle is something I continue to fight, but from experience I know I'm not the only webmaster who has to deal with spam issues. It is a world wide web epidemic that no site is immune from. I written many times about the subject and to be honest, I'm tired of writing about it. Bottom line is that spammers LIE on their application to get their foot in the door and only members can fight spammers by notifying the admin when they get a message from a member who is here for financial gain. I said it a thousand times, here is a thousand and one: "don't send money to someone you are getting to know - this goes for both male and female members"
The holidays are almost upon us. Eileen and I want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. We hope that you all find the love you deserve and that next year we continue to get all the wonderful emails we have this year from members who found that special person to love.
