I love this line. For me, it really make sense. Some people think that love should be "effortless". Yeah! Maybe. But what I liked about that line is that it encouraged people to stand on that "love" that they chose to have. Most especially in this kind of thing, internet love/long distance relationship.

Coming from a Filipina, I think one of the main reason why some relationship that had formed here in FLN had been broke is because the lack of EFFORT AND CONSISTENCY. Yeah. It is not enough that you showed all your sweetness and effort while you were just courting. In fact, I think, even if you already marry your Filipina, you should continue courting her. I know EFFORT AND CONSISTENCY should come from both side, but since I am a girl, I could only speak in behalf of my co-Filipina.

As always, paying attention to what she's saying will always gain you more and more points to her heart. Just little details that she said. Even those you think were non-sense, if you remembered that, it will surely remind her how interested you are to her.

Your relationship should always feel like the first time you met. You should always remind your partner how special she is for you. Love is more than I love yous, I miss you's, You are my life. It takes a lot of work. A lot of effort. Just like another line that I read, falling in love is easy, but staying in love is another case.

No one expects your relationship to be always "smooth-sailing". There will be moments that you will feel a little "fed" up on her flaws, but you know, everytime you will feel this, all I could say is take a deep breath, close your eyes, and remember that one thing that you love most about her when you first met her. =) And in argument, I would suggest, each time you are about to throw hurtful words, think twice. Sandwich those negative things that you would say with 2 positive things about her. Like, "you know hon, I love the way that you're so passionate in loving me. And I find it cute whenever you would get jealous, but I want to let you know that there's no reason that you should be jealous, because I love you." Something like that. No one expects you to always understand each other cause you're 2 different individual who grew up on a different roof, but the fact that you love each other, I guess that would be enough to bridge those differences.

I think we should always keep in mind that love is also like a plant. You need to water it everyday for it to grow and survive. But if your forgot to do so, it will be wilted and die. Love really needs a lot of work. And so I hope, when you able to find one, do your best to make it stand and to keep it.
